SUNY Fredonia's
175^th Anniversary Celebration

Tracing our roots back to the establishment of the Fredonia Academy in 1826, SUNY Fredonia is celebrating its 175th Anniversary. The first classes in the Fredonia Academy began October 4, 1826. The main on-campus parts of the 175th Anniversary celebration will follow the academic year model beginning this September and ending in the Spring of 2002.

The original Normal School (1867-1900)

A complete calendar of events is available and will be updated as events are scheduled. The 175th celebration year promises to be wonderful. Special activities will include dedication ceremonies of new facilities, lectures, concerts, exhibits and the most outstanding Homecoming in 175 years!
