A Message from the Dean

On behalf of the Graduate Office at SUNY Fredonia and our advanced certificate and master's degree programs, I am pleased to welcome you to this website. I trust you will find answers here to your preliminary questions.

For over 175 years, SUNY Fredonia has steadily forged a tradition of undergraduate and graduate success that has placed our university among America's best colleges. Fredonia's consistently high rankings in university surveys reflect the dedication and pride we feel about the academic, social, and occupational opportunities available on our campus and in our community.

During four sessions (Summer, Fall, J-Term, and Spring) Fredonia graduate students take advantage of various classroom, research, and field experience opportunities. As you will see in the following pages, SUNY Fredonia offers several degree options, ranging from the newest M.S. in Accounting that leads to C.P.A. licensure to the M.S. in Speech Pathology that has long been an accredited and highly competitive program.

Best wishes as you pursue your graduate goals. If we can provide additional materials or further assistance, please call our office at (716) 673-3808 or e-mail us at Graduate.Studies@fredonia.edu. If you would like to have an application packet sent to you, please e-mail your name, mailing address, and program to which you intend to apply to Graduate.Application@fredonia.edu. If you are interested in seeing Fredonia for the first time, we will happily coordinate your campus visit.

Sincerely,
Jacqueline Swansinger, Ph.D.
Dean of Graduate Studies
