Fredonia's Graduate School of Music.
Our school has a strong tradition of musical and teaching excellence. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, our school is a nationally recognized undergraduate and graduate program in a comprehensive, liberal arts and sciences college of the State University of New York.
The graduate music education program offer s options that enable you to tailor
your grduate study to your professional and musical goals. In-service
teachers or resident graduate students who have already obtained
Initial Certification can earn the Master of Music in Music Education
meeting the educational requirements for Professional Certification
through either the In-Service Program or the Thesis/Final Project
Program. If you earned your baccalaureate degree in a music area
other than education (e.g., performance, music theory) and you do
not yet have certification to teach, you can complete the educational
requirements for the Initial Certification in teaching while working
towards your Master of Music in Music Education degree by taking
the Initial Certification Track.
