Student Clubs
Involvement in extra-curricular activities is an important part of higher education. Fredonia students have a rich selection of clubs and activities (link to big studentlife page) in which they can be active. Here are some of special interest to business students:
- Accounting Society, which regularly invites accountants from industry, government, and private practice to speak.
- Business Club, which runs a snack bar adjacent to the School of Business, sponsors trips, and awards the Business Person of the Year at an annual luncheon.
- Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
- Delta Mu Delta Honor Society in Business and Accounting. This national society honors recognizes high achievement in the study of Accounting and Business Administration.
- Economics Club sponsors on campus lectures and discussions on topics relevant to business and the economy.
- Financial Management Association.
- Investment Club.
- Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society in economics recognizes high achievement in the study of economics.
- Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) sponsors regional, national, and international competitions encouraging entrepreneuralism in business. Our SIFE chapter fosters leadership, teamwork and communication skills as members prepare projects for presentation at SIFE competitons.
- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) in association with the IRS prepares students to assist low-income and elderly clients with individual income tax returns.
