Please Join US For An Economics Education Workshop On:
"Subprime Lending, Credit Crisis and Housing Market Collapse in USA"
Workshop Leader: Dr. Amar Parai
Chair and Professor of Economics
SUNY Fredonia
The workshop will focus on the subprime lending issue in housing industry, and discuss its implications in the context of the recent credit crisis and housing market collapse in the US economy. The prospect of an economy-wide recession in the United States and a concomitant global slowdown on the one hand, and the steadily rising oil price led general inflation on the other are shown to have raised the possibility of a worldwide 'stagflation' in the near future. The effectiveness of macroeconomic policies taken (or to be taken) will also be highlighted.
