A STEP student dinner

The SUNY Fredonia-Seneca Nation STEP Program's purpose is to assist historically under-represented and economically disadvantaged secondary school students to acquire the necessary skills to undertake collegiate study in scientific, technical, and health-related fields. STEP provides student-focused enrichment services and activities, such as:

Tutoring in core subject areas, especially math and science
Library research skills
Academic and career counseling
Standardized Test (SAT/ACT) preparation
College visits
Cultural awareness activities
Recognition for student achievement
Academic competitions (Math/Science Bowl)
Field trips
