New students
1. Upon acceptance to SUNY Fredonia:
- for Chapters 30, 1606, and 1607 fill out VA Form 22-1990
- for Chapter 35 fill out VA Form 22-5490
- for Chapter 31 see Disabled Veterans tab and mail it (Certified Mail) to the Buffalo Regional Veterans Affairs Office along with:
- a copy of your Member 4 DD-214
- a copy of any Kicker Program documentation (Army/Navy College Fund, etc.)
2. Come to the Veterans Affairs Office on campus located in Nixon Hall:
- Fill out a Veterans Fact Sheet
- Provide a copy of your Member 4 DD-214
- Provide a copy of your appropriate paperwork from above
- A copy of any Kicker Program documentation (Army/Navy College Fund, etc.)
- Provide a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (You should receive this from the Buffalo Regional VA Office after they reach a determination on your eligibility for Veterans Benefits under the MGIB)
3. Once you have been accepted to the school, meet with your degree program advisor to determine what classes to register for, and when you can register.
Credit for Military Experience (CME)
The University will consider granting for experiences gained while in the military, including military training. For more information please contact the Academic Advising Center.
