Greetings! As the Associate Vice President for Information Technology Services, I am pleased to have been a part of the Information Technology Services unit these past eleven and a half years, and I look forward to your feedback on improvements we can continue to make!
I joined the unit as a project manager for the Banner conversion in 1998, and as the Associate Vice President in 2001. As you can see from the visuals, computer services and applications have evolved tremendously in the past decade. You of course know this already, just based on the impact technology and technology use has had on how you do business, as an administrator or instructor. It is my hope that the services we have provided: a secure and reliable network infrastructure (from a small network to seven networks including wireless!), a growing number of software applications including Microsoft Office and academic software licensing for all faculty, staff, and student use in labs, a reliable email and calendaring system, a reliable learning management system, a growth in multi-media classrooms, and reliable computer labs and desktop equipment in offices have met or exceeded your expectations at least a majority of the time! Naturally, we have been limited in our expansion of services by some difficult budget years, but I am continually pleased with the increase in services we have been able to provide with finite resources and staff.
