Jill Reese Faculty Spotlight September 13 Phil Hastings Faculty Focus continued

Most of Phil's film and video work has some connection to the sciences. His video documentation of the sexual cannibalism and reproductive practices of the Praying Mantis has been licensed for the National Geographic television show Animal Taboos. He is a former director of the Big Muddy Film Festival and received his MFA in cinema from Southern Illinois University and his BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design.  Phil founded the SUNYWide Student Film Festival in 2009. This academic year will be the fifth year of that festival, bringing the best student films and filmmakers from across the SUNY system to Fredonia.  He is working on a number of projects at the moment, including:
