Capital Construction

  • Five-year Plan for 2008 - 2012: SUNY Fredonia is implementing a 2008-2012 five-year capital construction plan consisting of 42 projects ranging from $50 thousand to $10 million for a total budget of $69.3 million.  Some rehabilitation projects in this plan include the conversion of the old swimming pool in Dods Hall to a new fitness center and the Admissions Annex into a Welcome Center. Interior improvements are planned for the Williams Center and Maytum Hall, and the underground electrical distribution system will be upgraded.The plan also includes designing the new $42 million Science Technology Building, the first of several requested Strategic Initiave Projects.
  • Finishing 2004-'08 Plan: The campus is currently completing projects under the 2004-'08 five-year capital construction plan with a budget of $45.1 million. These projects include the new Soccer Stadium's support facility and press box, the campus-wide satellite boilers, Rosch Recital Hall, and the Fredonia School of Music's sound recording studio. In addition, the campus broke ground in 2008 for the construction of a $5.5 million SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator located in the City of Dunkirk. Two construction projects will begin in the summer of 2009-- the $3 million Mason Hall rehearsal  room addition and the new, $4 million Campus and Community Children's Center.
