Our Purpose
The Department of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is an independent department responsible for
campus wide compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations along with the
NYS Building and Fire Code. Along with compliance, this department is also responsible for designing
and implementing programs that ensure the safety of faculty, students, and staff. EH&S provides guidance, training, and support to all divisions on an as needed basis while striving to increase the environmental and safety awareness of all who live and work on campus.
