| 2006 W2 statements were mailed directly to employees from Albany during the week of January 22nd. Duplicate or reissued W2s can be requested after February 15th. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Payroll Services at 673-3775. Please note the following 2007 tax changes: Any changes to the Federal and New York State tax withholding rates may effect the amounts withheld in paychecks beginning with the check dated 1/10/2007. In addition, the Social Security tax for 2007 will be calculated at 6.2% on the first $97,500 of taxable wages resulting in a maximum Social Security tax of $6045.00. The Medicare tax rate remains at 1.45%. There is no limit on the amount of wages subject to Medicare Tax.
