As
a new student you will be advised first during orientation. Your
advisor helps you choose classes and holds regular office hours; you
may meet with him or her as often as you like. Academic Advising may be reached at (716) 673-3188.
Choosing your major
Nearly 75% of our freshman class enter Fredonia with a major. More than
a quarter of our freshmen enter our Liberal Arts Program while they
explore their options. We offer Pre-Law and Pre-Med advising to assist
you. If you're not sure what major to choose, relax! Our academic
advisors and the Office of Career Development are full of resources to help you find your way. Offering over 80 majors, it's likely we have the program you're looking for! To visit the list of program home pages, click here.
Choosing a minor
A minor (we offer 41) is a specified set of classes organized within an
academic discipline, but involving fewer courses than a major. Minors
are listed in the catalog on page 4 and described under individual
department listings.
