Academic Advising

Your advisor Your academic advisor will be a member of the faculty from your department. Liberal Arts (undeclared) students are advised by specially trained faculty who will assist you in selecting a major during your first two years.image: Students talking in front of Maytum HallAs a new student you will be advised first during orientation. Choosing your major
Nearly 75% of our freshman class enter Fredonia with a major. More than a quarter of our freshmen enter our Liberal Arts Program while they explore their options. We offer Pre-Law and Pre-Med advising to assist you. If you're not sure what major to choose, relax! Our academic advisors and the Office of Career Development are full of resources to help you find your way. Offering over 80 majors, it's likely we have the program you're looking for! Choosing a minor
A minor (we offer 41) is a specified set of classes organized within an academic discipline, but involving fewer courses than a major. Minors are listed in the catalog on page 4 and described under individual department listings.
