The easiest, fastest and most secure way to apply is online; paper applications are also available. SUNY Fredonia accepts The Common Application and the SUNY Application. Please complete and submit only one application. The fee for applying is $40.

SUNY Application logo The SUNY Application allows you to apply to SUNY Fredonia and other participating State University of New York schools. Applicants choosing this method will be required to complete an additional supplemental application, including a personal essay, and submit a letter of recommendation. (All EOP applicants must click here for additional application information)

--- OR ---

Common Application logo The Common Application is accepted at SUNY Fredonia and more than 300 selective colleges nationwide. It allows you to apply to any participating school with one application, and includes personal essay and letter of recommendation forms.

--- OR ---

Paper applications are also available from NY high school guidance offices, SUNY campus admissions offices, or available as .pdf downloads (Adobe Acrobat Reader required). To print your own application, follow these links: SUNY Application or The Common Application.

Freshman Applicants

After completing the application, your guidance counselor submits your high school transcript to SUNY Fredonia. We prefer that you list Fredonia as a college choice when you take the SAT or ACT so that we will receive scores directly from the testing service. Our CEEB code and SAT code is 2539. Our ACT code is 2934. Scores reflected on your high school transcript are acceptable as well. All freshmen applicants are REQUIRED to submit a 250 word personal essay and at least one (1) letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor.

Transfer Applicants

Complete your application and submit official transcripts from ALL colleges attended, proof of high school graduation or GED (official high school transcript or copy of diploma - waived for students with earned associates or bachelors degree) and any other supplemental materials, directly to:
