Admission to SUNY Fredonia is competitive. Mean scores for the class of 2007 are a cumulative high school average of 89.5%, 1110 SAT score (critical reading and math sections combined), and a 24.5 ACT composite score. The above scores are averages; we encourage applications from students who have taken a strong college-preparatory program in high school and rank in the top half of their high school class.
Requirements
Successful freshmen candidates complete at least 16 college preparatory courses (which in New York State equals regents coursework) during high school, including 3 or 4 years each of science, math and foreign language, and rank in the upper half of their graduating class.
You must take the SAT or the ACT in order to be considered for admission. SUNY Fredonia recommends - but does not require - that high school students take the writing section on whichever exam they choose to take. Writing scores will not factor into the admissions decision process.
