Take a hike at Panama Rocks, fish local streams and lakes, mountain bike the Arkwright Hills and explore the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History. And, yes, it does snow here! Outstanding opportunities for downhill and cross-country skiing and other winter sports abound during the winter months. Western New York boasts a number of excellent ski resorts, including Holiday Valley, Kissing Bridge and Peek'n Peak.

Visit the Chautuaqua County Visitors Bureau and the Fredonia Chamber of Commerce for more information about recreation, businesses, restaurants and hotels in the area.
