With 60 photographs from the collection of the Louisiana State University Museum of Art, this exhibition celebrates the scope of photographic possibilities in terms of medium, genre, and style. Works date from 1930 to 2016, and mediums range from cyanotypes and gelatin silver prints to archival digital prints and ultrachrome images. Among the artists represented are: Berenice Abbott, Diane Arbus, Ruth Bernhard, Judy Dater, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Robert Fichter, Henry Gilpin, Yousuf Karsh, Victor Landweber, Robert von Sternberg, Melanie Walker, Henry Wessel, Brett Weston, and Edward Weston. Exploring Photography is organized by the Louisiana State University museum of Art, Baton Rouge.
