Women's soccer 

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's soccer team picked up a road win in a 3-1 victory at St. John Fisher on Tuesday evening.

The Devils used three first-half goals in the span of six minutes to provide all the offense. Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) got the Devils going at 12:01 with her fourth goal of the season. Lyz Dembrow  (Lockport/Lockport) assisted.

Reilly Condidorio (LeRoy/LeRoy) made it 2-0 as she scored at 14:56 on a cross from Melissa Cummiskey (Clarence/Clarence) at the top of the point.

Julie LaPolla (Penfield) scored the Devils' third unanswered goal at 18:03. LaPolla headed a pass from Heilweil past the Fisher keeper.

The Cardinals (1-3) would finish out the first half with a goal by Catherine Mibaum in the 26th minute.

Fredonia State's Meghan Meszaros (Seldon/Newfield) made seven saves. Ashley Martin made nine saves for Fisher.

The Devils outshot Fisher 19-14.  

The Blue Devils (3-1) return to action Friday vs. St. Lawrence in the first round of the Clarion Hotel Soccer Classic at University Stadium. Game time is 5 p.m.
