KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- Fredonia State broke out the offense Tuesday in a 13-1 and 11-4 doubleheader sweep over the Keuka Storm.
Erik Pokornowski (Batavia), Matt LaPorte (Westfield), and Dillon Lowe (Pittsford/Pittsford-Sutherland) had three RBI each in the first game. Lowe and Mark Majka (Depew/St. Francis) had three hits each in support of winning pitcher Jordan Hibbard (Waterford, Pa./Fort Loeuf), who allowed four hits and a solo homer over six innings.
The Blue Devils improved to 13-7 with their Game 2 victory. Brian Lansing (East Syracuse/East Syracuse Minoa) allowed no runs and two hits over six innings to earn the victory. Offensively, Jon Messina (Jamestown) collected three hits. Rob Herrmann (Trumansburg), Jeremy Roden (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill), and Dan Fetes (Webster/Webster Thomas) had two RBI each.
The Blue Devils return home Wednesday afternoon to face Gannon at Ludwig Field. First pitch is 2:30 p.m.
