FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Three Blue Devils were recognized by Rawlings and the American Baseball Coaches Association on Monday.

Senior catcher Rob Herrmann and senior third baseman Don Kirsch were named to the New York Region All Stars, Third Team. Joe Kephart was recognized as a one of nine Gold Glove winners.

Herrmann -- the only four-time all conference player in school history -- batted .391 (50 for 128) on the season, and along with Kirsch, became only the fifth and sixth players in Blue Devil history to reach the 50-hit plateau. Herrmann's 13 doubles were one shy of the school record. He was also the Devils' top RBI man with 28.

Herrmann is also a standout student, earning a 3.40 GPA.

Kirsch batted .451, third best in school history and second in the conference this year. He topped the Devils in hits (51), triples (6) and runs (30). His career average now stands at .38888, second all time, just .00036 points behind Joe Caso's career mark of .38924.

Kephart put together his Gold Glove season as the team's shortstop, leading the Devils to the 19th ranked defense in Division III. He made only three errors in 96 total chances for a .968 fielding percentage. For good measure, the Devils No. 9 hitter batted .306 for the season.

Kephart also maintained a 3.5 GPA in the classroom.
