BOSTON, Mass. -- Wentworth College dealt Fredonia State a 6-3 non-conference loss Thursday. It was the first game of the second semester for the Blue Devils (4-7-3).
Fredonia State led just once, 1-0, on a goal by freshman forward Bryan Ross (Livonia, Mich.) at 6:04 of the first period. It was Ross's third goal of the season.
Later in the period, sophomore forward Alex Morton (Carrington, Ont.) tied the score at 2-2 with his third goal of the season. The Blue Devils were shut out in the second period.
Junior forward James Muscatello (Baldwinsville) cut the Blue Devil deficit to 4-3 with 14:23 left in the game. It was Muscatello's team-leading eighth goal.
Junior goaltender Pat Street (Annapolis, Md.) made 31 saves. The Blue Devils were outshot 37-33. Each team was 1 of 6 on the power play.
