FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State extended its winning streak to five straight games with an 8-0 home win Saturday over the Westfield State Owls.

Twelve Blue Devils had at least one point, led by Steve Rizer (Smithtown, N.Y.) with a goal and three assists. Rizer also had two goals in a 5-2 victory Friday over the Owls.

Bryan Ross (Livonia, Mich.) had two goals and one assist, Alex Morton (Cannington, Ont.) also had two goals, while Chris de Bruyn (Calgary, Alberta), Mat Hehr (Sherwood Park, Alberta), and Marc Deeley (Rochester, N.Y.) each had a goal. Morton's goal was his team-leading 12th.

Special teams played a role in the outcome. The Blue Devils were 6 of 12 on the power play and eight of eight on the penalty kill. They outshot the Owls, 49-23.

Pat Street (Annapolis, Md.) stopped all 23 shots to post his third shutout of the season.

The Blue Devils improved to 11-4-0. They put their winning streak on the line Tuesday against York University. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Steele Hall Ice Arena.
