GENESEO, N.Y. -- Fredonia State scored its most impressive win of the early season, 5-0, at SUNYAC opponent Geneseo.

Alex Morton (Cannington, Ont.) and Mat Hehr (Sherwood Park, Alberta) had two goals each while goaltender Pat Street (Annapolis, Md.) made 22 saves to record the fourth shutout of his collegiate career.

Morton's first goal and his fifth of the season broke a scoreless tie with 13 seconds remaining in the first period. His second goal of the game came late in the second period and upped Fredonia State's lead to 4-0. It also tied James Muscatello (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) for the team lead with six goals each.

Hehr's two goals gave him five on the year while Bryan Ross (Livonia, Mich.) notched his third of the season. Ross added one assist while Muscatello and Jeff Aonso (Toronto, Ont.) had two assists each.

Fredonia State improved to 4-3-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the SUNYAC while Geneseo fell to 2-5-0.

The Blue Devils are back in SUNYAC action 7 p.m. Saturday at Brockport.
