FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State earned two SUNYAC points with a 5-0 home win Friday over Morrisville State.
Taking advantage of Morrisville State's 41 penalty minutes, the Blue Devils (4-4-2, 2-3-1 SUNYAC) scored three power-play goals.
Junior forward Andrew Dissanayake (Ajax, Ont.), junior forward James Muscatello (Baldwinsville), and senior defenseman Colin Sarfeh (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) each scored a power-play goal, while junior forward Matt McKeown (Niagara Falls, Ont.) and freshman forward Bryan Ross (Livonia, Mich.) scored with the teams skating even-strength.
Muscatello and McKeown each had an assist to go along with a goal, while junior forward Jeff Aonso (Toronto, Ont.) had two assists.
Junior goalkeeper Pat Street (Annapolis, Md.) made 26 saves for his first shutout of the season.
Dissanayake opened the scoring at 18:50 of the first period. Muscatello made it 2-0 midway through the second period. McKeown scored early in the third period, while Sarfeh and Ross scored late, the latter with 18.1 seconds remaining.
The Mustangs fell to 0-8-1, 0-6-1 SUNYAC.
Fredonia State takes a break until Dec. 5 when they visit Brockport.
