GENESEO, N.Y. -- The Blue Devils dropped a SUNYAC road matchup at Geneseo on Saturday, falling 6-2.

After a scoreless first period, the Devils' offense came out firing, scoring twice in the first 6:36 of the second period.

An unassisted goal by Andrew Dissanayake at 3:24 gave Fredonia State a 1-0 lead. Jordan Oye followed up just over three minutes later, using helpers from Bryan Goudy and Matt McKeown to make it 2-0.

From that point on, it was all Geneseo. An Ice Knight goal with 4:11 left in the second cut the lead in half. A short-handed score by Geneseo's Sebastian Panetta with 1:45 left in the period tied the game at 2-all.

Geneseo (9-3-1, 5-2-1 SUNYAC) would then score four unanswered goals in the third period, the last one coming on an empty netter. Dan Brown scored two of Geneseo's six goals.

Pat Street made 30 saves in goal for the Devils, allowing five scores.  Kody Van Rentergem made a pair of saves, minding the net in the final 4:47 without allowing a goal. Geneseo's Cory Gershon made 26 saves in a winning effort.

The Devils (4-5-3 overall, 2-4-2 SUNYAC) finish the calendar year by playing a road game vs. the USA Under-18 team on Dec. 11.
