FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State Blue Devils must win their remaining three SUNYAC games -- starting 7 p.m. Friday at Morrisville State -- to have any chance to qualify for the conference tournament.

Even the three wins might not help. The Blue Devils (4-12-5, 2-7-4 SUNYAC) enter the weekend in eighth place, three points out of the sixth and final playoff spot. They have not won a game since Nov. 21, a 5-0 win over Morrisville at Steele Hall. In the 13 games since then, the Blue Devils have only three times to show for their efforts, including a 3-3 deadlock last Saturday vs. Buffalo State.

"We did score three goals last weekend vs. Buffalo State," head coach Jeff Meredith said, "and that was more than we have had lately. We have been doing a lot of battle drills lately which entails getting pucks to the net and then going hard after them to generate more chances. I think we saw that in the (53) shots we had against Buff State."

The Blue Devils close out their regular season with home games Feb. 20 and Feb. 21 vs. Brockport and Geneseo, respectively.
