FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State won its second SUNYAC games in as many days, a 16-2 victory over Morrisville State Sunday at University Stadium.

Morgan McNamara had four goals for the second straight day to lead the offense for the Blue Devils (9-4, 3-3 SUNYAC) while Katie Monaghan established a new Fredonia State career assist record. She had two assists Sunday, six this season, and 44 in three seasons. Kristin Housel collected 43 assists during the 2000-03 seasons.

The Blue Devils led 8-0 before Morrisville State scored its first goal, a tally by Jennifer Caffarelli with 8:44 in the first half. Caffarelli scored both goals by the Mustangs (4-7, 1-5 SUNYAC) and has 50 this season.

For the Blue Devils, four players had two goals each: Monaghan, Valerie Snider, Karli Brinthaupt, and Amy Simon. Simon leads the team with 38 goals this spring, one more than McNamara.

Goalkeeper Nicole Faulise made five saves while Morrisville State's Jennifer May had six.

The Blue Devils travel to Buffalo State for a Tuesday afternoon game.
