FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Freshman attacker Amy Simon (Amherst) and freshman midfielder Morgan McNamara (Oswego) were Fredonia State's top two scorers in 2009. Freshman defender Megan Mietelski (Fairport) was one of the Blue Devils' top field leaders. All three have been chosen 2009 Second Team All SUNYAC in the annual vote by conference coaches.

Simon scored 55 goals, three of them game-winners, and added eight assists for 63 points. She also led the team with 113 total shots and 80 shots-on-goal, and was credited with 13 caused turnovers, while McNamara finished with 51 points, 46 of them goals. McNamara collected 23 draw controls and 23 groundballs.

Playing in the defensive end, Mietelski took only one shot all season. Instead, she led the team with 40 groundballs, tied with junior midfielder Valerie Snider (Spencerport) for a team-leading 26 caused turnovers, and had 36 draw controls to Snider's team-high 37.
