FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State completed its weekend sweep of a pair of SUNYAC games with a 72-55 home win Saturday over the Potsdam Bears.

The Blue Devils (9-2, 3-1 SUNYAC) trailed only briefly, and by no more than two points, while rolling to fifth home win in as many tries. They were 66-59 winners Friday night over Plattsburgh.

Kevin Saunders (Batavia) finished with a game-high 22 points, 11 in each half, on 7 of 15 shooting. Wayne Davis (Binghamton) had 14 of his 16 points in the first half. Davis was 4 of 6 from three-point range.

The Blue Devils led 36-21 at halftime and were up by as many as 20 points, once in each half.

The Bears (5-6, 2-2 SUNYAC) got 18 points from Damon Brown (Brooklyn/Port Richmond) and 15 from Brandon Siskavich (Peru).

Fredonia State stays in SUNYAC competition for a pair of home games next weekend -- 8 p.m. Friday vs. Oswego, 4 p.m. Saturday vs. Morrisville State. Both games are inside the Steele Hall Fieldhouse.
