FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The visiting Oswego Great Lakers downed Fredonia State, 69-67, at Steele Hall on Friday evening.

The Lakers used a 9-0 run to start the game. They attained their biggest lead of the game at ten points, 18-8, at 10:39 of the first half.

The Devils would work their way back into the game, and eventually tie things at 35-all following a Julius Bryant (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) three-point play at 18:11 of the second half.

Oswego countered with a Kyle Reuter field goal and would lead the rest of the game.

The Devils did keep it close throughout and would pulled within a point, 61-60, after a Brad Cooper (Monticello) three-pointer with 2:19 remaining.

Four Devils would finish in double figures, Bryant leading the way with 18. Cooper and Wayne Davis (Binghamton) had 13 apiece, while Kevin Saunders (Batavia) had 11. Bryan Morse (Beacon) collected 11 rebounds off the bench.

The Devils outrebounded Oswego 49-34.

For Oswego (8-4, 4-1 SUNYAC) Tommy Downing scored a game-high 24 points. Chad Burridge had 17 points and 12 rebounds, and Reuter finished with 14 points.

The Devils (9-3, 3-2) play host to Morrisville State Saturday at 4 p.m.
