FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Down 11 points, 48-37, with with just under 12:00 left to play, the Devils staged a furious run to come back and convincingly down Morrisville State, 76-60, in Steele Hall on Friday.
A 17-4 run started at 11:31 of the second half on a Kevin Saunders three-pointer, and finshed with another Saunder's long-range bucket at 7:25 to give the Devils their first lead, 54-52, since early in the second half.
The Devils kept up the pace, outscoring the Mustangs 22-8 for the remainder of the game to complete a 27-point swing.
Saunders finished with a game-high 18 points, including four three-point baskets, and added seven rebounds. Wayne Davis had four three-pointers of his own and finished with 14 points.
Bryan Morse had another strong game off the bech, chipping in 14 points on five of five shooting from the field, including several put-back rebounds down the stretch. Morse was also four of five from the free-throw line. Brad Cooper led the Devils with eight rebounds and five assists.
Morrisville State (1-11, 0-5 SUNYAC) was paced by Elonzo Wilson's 15 points off the bench. Garnell Vaughn added 14 points, and Bryan Eddy chipped in 13 points.
The Devils, 10-3 overall and 4-2 in the SUNYAC conference travel to Geneseo on Tuesday.
