FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Down 25-21 at the half, the Devils used a 13-0 run early in the second half to take control of the game, and go on to a 65-56 victory over Oswego.

With the Lakers leading 34-26, Damien Goodwin (Buffalo/East) got the Devils rolling with a three-point play. Julius Bryant (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) contributed a pair of lay-ups to the rally, and Amir Billups (Buffalo/Starpoint) chipped in with six points and a pair of steals as the Devils took a 39-34 lead.

The Devils would maintain the lead the rest of the game.

Up 55-48 with 1:48 left to play, Billups was key in maintaining the lead, converting eight free throws in the closing minutes.

Oswego (12-12, 6-11 SUNYAC) was led by Ryan Sheridan with 14 points, and Stanley Francois with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Billups finished with 17 points off the bench for Fredonia State, including shooting nine of ten from the line. Bryant had 14 points and a team high five rebounds.

The Devils improve 11-12 overall, and 9-8 in the SUNYAC.

In other SUNYAC action, Buffalo State (9-8) edged out Cortland (10-8), setting up a showdown with Cortland on Saturday.
