GENESEO, N.Y. -- Fredonia State's 1-0 loss to Geneseo left the Blue Devils out of the SUNYAC men's soccer tournament.

Geneseo sophomore Colin Begy converted a crossing pass from the right baseline by senior Kurt Jameson at 51:35 of the second half for his third goal of the year.

Mike Madarasz made three saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season as the Blue Knights owned a 16-7 advantage in shots.

Fredonia State senior goalkeeper Thom Cavanaugh (Slingerlands/Voorheesville) made eight saves.

The loss dropped Fredonia State to 3-4-2 in the SUNYAC, two points out of the sixth and final playoff spot. The Blue Devils are 7-7-3 overall with one match left, a non-conference trip Wednesday to Grove City.
