FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State stretched its winning streak to three straight games with a 1-0 home win Tuesday over Nazareth College.

Junior forward Peter Dagel (Rochester/Gates-Chili) scored for the Blue Devils (3-3) while sophomore goalkeeper Bobby McGinnis (Elmira/Elmira Free) posted his first collegiate shutout.

After taking a short pass from Luke Spencer (Rochester/West Irondequoit) in the left flat, Dagel found the top of the net with a bender from the top of the 18-yard-line in the ninth minute.

It was Dagel's second goal of the season and moved him up two spots into 20th place on the Fredonia State all-time scoring list. His has 20 goals and seven assists for 47 points in 44 career games.

Making his ninth career start, McGinnis made one save. Trey Barresi (Lansing) made five saves for Nazareth. Each team took 14 shots.

The Blue Devils visit Buffalo State for a SUNYAC contest at 1 p.m. Saturday.
