FREDONIA, N.Y. -- A hattrick by junior Ryan O'Donnell (Orchard Park) lifted Fredonia State over Nazareth, 4-0.

O'Donnell's outburst gives him six goals on the season, second on the team to sophomore Peter Dagel (Rochester/Gates-Chili), who has eight goals.

Dagel assisted one one of O'Donnell's goals, while freshman Matt Grabowski (Victor) assisted on another. Two of the goals were unassisted, as was a goal by sophomore Eli Lubberts (Ontario/Wayne), his first of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Tom Cavanaugh (Slingerlands/Voorheesville) made three saves before giving way to freshman Bobby McGinnis (Elmira/Elmira Free) for the final 8:41. Their combined shutout was the team's fourth of the season.

The Blue Devils (6-4-0) improved to 4-0 at home this fall. They are back in action Saturday at 1 p.m. vs. Morrisville State at University Stadium.

The loss dropped Nazareth to 3-6-1.
