FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Two first-half goals was all the scoring Gettysburg did -- and needed -- to down Fredonia State, 2-0.
The Blue Devils (0-2) had an 18-14 advantage in shots but could not get one behind Gettysburg goalkeeper Mike Walmer, who was credited with three saves.
Eric Hynes scored at 16:10 of the first half, then Kon Kuznetsov made it 2-0 at 40:38.
Bobby McGinnis was in the Fredonia State goal.
The Blue Devils complete their trip to Pennsylvania with a game Saturday at defending national champ Messiah.
