COMPETITION SCHEDULE/LIVE WEBCAST

FREDONIA, N.Y.  -- The Fredonia State cheerleaders will compete Saturday in the 2010 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.

The Blue Devils are entered in All-Girls Division II along with 16 other teams and are scheduled to compete 9:20 a.m. Saturday. The teams advancing to the finals will be announced at 11:30 a.m.

Fredonia State has finished in the top 10 in its division the past three years, including a ninth-place finish in 2009. The Blue Devils enter the competition having already accumulated 15 points in the Cheer Crowd category, a score assigned by judges after viewing a videotape taken of the team at a home event during the first semester.

The entire competition will be webcast via the Varsity.com website and will be taped for further broadcast on ESPN. The championships are co-produced by Universal Cheerleaders Association and the Universal Dance Association.

The Varsity.com site also includes a preview story on the competition.
