FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Two Fredonia State freshmen have won weekly awards from the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
Women's soccer player Reilly Condidorio (LeRoy) has been chosen SUNYAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Men's hockey goaltender Kody Van Rentergem (Leduc, Alberta) was named SUNYAC Rookie of the Week.
Condidorio was cited for scoring one goal in each of the Blue Devils' SUNYAC games last weekend. She also had an assist in one of the games and solidified her standing as her team's leading scorer with 10 goals and 26 points.
Condidorio is the second Blue Devil woman to receive the weekly SUNYAC award this fall. Junior forward Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) was a previous winner.
Van Rentergem's citiation came as a result of his 23-save performance in a 2-1 win Oct. 18 over Buffalo State at the SUNYAC Challenge.
