(ECAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week)
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State senior Julia Hopson (Poughkeepsie/Arlington) was named earlier this week as ECAC Division III Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week.
Hopson hit an NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 54.44 meters in the hammer throw at the U.S. Military Academy meet at Point Loma Nazarene University. She also won the shot put with a throw of 12.48 meters and placed second in the discus at 32.23 meters.
She is also the reigning SUNYAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
