Schedule changes
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Two more Fredonia State spring sporting events have been postponed due to unspringlike weather.
Snow and cold has resulted in the postponement of a home SUNYAC softball doubleheader vs. Geneseo, scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday. The doubleheader has been rescheduled for Sat., April 25, at 1 p.m.
It was also announced today that the Blue Devils and Oneonta will play at 1 p.m. April 26 at Geneseo. The neutral site was determined by the SUNYAC office because the Blue Devils had already made their required trip to Oneonta before a scheduled doubleheader was postponed last Saturday.
The other Tuesday postponement -- and rescheduled game -- involves the women's lacrosse team. Its SUNYAC home match against Morrisville State was called off, and has been rescheduled for a second time. The Blue Devils and the Mustangs will meet at noon Sunday, April 19, on the University Stadium all-purpose field. The game was originally rescheduled for Wednesday.
The postponement of Tuesday's scheduled home baseball doubleheader vs. Keuka College was announced Monday. Now a scheduled home doubleheader Wednesday vs. St. John Fisher is in jeopardy. Snow fell on Ludwig Field overnight and the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning lasting through 8 a.m. Wednesday.
