Awards 

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State sophomore Sarah Zureck (Lancaster/St. Mary's) has been named SUNYAC women's volleyball co-player of the week.

Zureck averaged 5.3 digs per set while the Blue Devils went 2-2 and finished third out of 12 teams at the Red Dragon Classic. Her efforts included a 29-dig (9.7 per set) performance in a three-set loss to NAIA DII Daemen. She also had 22 digs in a 3-1 win against SUNYAC opponent Cortland.

Also in volleyball, Blue Devil junior Kaitlin Erdmann (Randolph) was chosen to the Red Dragon Classic All-Tournament team. She had a team high .255 hitting percentage to go along with six service aces, 18 digs, and eight blocks in four matches.

In women's soccer, junior Julie LaPolla (Penfield) was named offensive player of the Flower City Classic at the University of Rochester. LaPolla scored three goals in a 7-0 Blue Devil victory over King's College.
