Also, Sarah Ficarro (Owego), right, a freshman diver on the 2009-10 team, was recognized for both academic and athletic achievement with a CSCAA Scholar All-American award. A communication disorders major, she attained a grade-point average of 3.5 or better in order to meet the academic requirement. She met the athletic requirement by being selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving championship meet, where she finished second in the 1-meter springboard diving and sixth in 3-meter springboard diving. She earned All-American awards in both events.
