FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Sierra Summerville (Mexico) accounted for Fredonia State's lone point in the Blue Devils' 8-1 home women's tennis loss to Brockport.
Playing No. 4 singles, Summerville, a senior, defeated Brockport's Alison Kozlowski, 2-6- 6-0 and 16-14 in the tiebreaker.
Fredonia State's No. 2 doubles pairing of sophomore Anna Norris (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley) and sophomore Calee Prindle (Geneva) fell in a closest match of the day, 9-7, to Brockport's pairing of Kozlowski and Erin McLaughlin.
The Blue Devils' next competition is Saturday in the Penn State Behrend Invitational.
