FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Geneseo defeated Fredonia State, 9-0, in the first match of the 2009 SUNYAC tennis season for both teams.
The Blue Devils sent out singles players junior Anna Norris (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley), senior Mallory Long (Canandaigua), junior Calee Prindle (Geneva), senior Megan Zarzycki (Rochester/Irondequoit), freshman Katrina Johnston (Fredonia), and junior Chelsea Mang (Lancastert/Depew) on the Steele Hall courts. Prindle won six games en route to a 6-4, 6-2 loss in her match.
Geneseo also swept the doubles match-ups.
The Blue Devils are back in action Wednesday at home against Penn State Behrend.
