PENN STATE BEHREND 7, FREDONIA STATE 2
ERIE, Pa. -- Fredonia State fell to Penn State Behrend, 7-2, in the Blue Devils' first match of 2010.
The Lions improved to 3-0.
The Blue Devils earned both their points in singles competition. Freshman Ali Phillips (Orchard Park) was a 7-6, 7-5 winner in the No. 4 slot, while Molly Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at No. 6.
Next: SUNYAC Pool Play on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Steele Hall courts. The Devils first match is 1:30 p.m. Friday vs. Oswego.
