GENESEO, N.Y. -- Fredonia State junior Tom Williams (Queensbury) finished first in the men's 5,000-meter run Saturday at the SUNY-G meet, a last-chance qualifier at SUNY Geneseo.
Williams stopped the clock in 15:49, sophomore teammate Andy Dunscombe (Endicott/Union-Endicott) third in 16:11, and sophomore Matt Slight (Oswego) in 18:22.
In the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Trevor Steves (Gowanda) finished in 10:46 and senior Tim Halter (Amherst/Sweet Home) in 10:51.
In the women's 5,000 meters, freshman Ashley Cocuzzi (Webster/Webster Schroeder) finished in 22:18.
Next meet for the Blue Devils: The SUNYAC championships next Friday and Saturday at Oneonta State.
