SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Fredonia State's Julia Hopson (Poughkeepsie/Arlington) has recorded yet another top-six performance in an ECAC field event.

Hopson, a senior, finished fourth in the women's shot put Friday at the 2009 ECAC outdoor championship meet at Springfield College. It was the 11th time she has finished sixth or better at ECACs, including five individual titles. Her most recent title came Thursday in the women's hammer throw.

She will compete in the hammer throw at the NCAA Division III Track & Field championship meet May 21-23 at Marietta, Ohio.

Also Friday, junior Michael Kelley (Geneseo) finished sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.56 meters. Two other Blue Devil men, sophomores Nick Guarino (Bergen/Byron-Bergen) and David "Mac" McMahill (Hemlock/Livonia), ran personal-best times in the men's 800 meters. Guarino was eighth in 1:53.75 and McMahill 12ths in 1:54.67.

In the women's high jump, junior Jackie Majka (Depew) cleared 1.62 meters to finish ninth in the event.
