BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Fredonia State will be home for the SUNYAC championship tournament by virtue of its latest sweep of SUNYAC West Division Pool Play.

The Blue Devils (23-6, 10-0 SUNYAC) ran their winning streak to 19 straight with a pair of 3-0 wins Saturday, over Oswego in the morning and over Brockport in the afternoon. They did not lose a set in either of the two SUNYAC Pool Play weekends, including five 3-0 wins when the teams convened last month at Oswego.

It's second time in program history the team has gone unbeaten in their pool. They also ran the table in 2003. Overall, the Blue Devils are 19-1 in West Division matches the past two seasons.

Kaitlin Erdmann (Randolph) recorded nine kills, Alyssa Torpy (West Henrietta/Rush-Henrietta) 31 assists, and Sarah Zureck (Lancaster/St. Mary's of Lancaster) eight digs and three services aces in the 25-18, 25-12, 25-17 victory over Oswego.

Amy Bertrando had 10 kills, Zureck 10 digs and three service aces, Leanne Maloney (West Seneca/Mount Mercy) seven kills, and Torpy 27 assists in the 25-19, 25-13, 25-21 sweep of Brockport.

The Blue Devils will host the SUNYAC championship tournament Nov. 6-8 at Dods Hall. It is believed to be the first time the finals will be held on the Fredonia State campus.

The Blue Devils reached the 2007 title game before losing to host Cortland, 3-1, for the automatic NCAA Division III Tournament bid.
