FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State matched its longest winning streak of the season with a 3-2 road victory Tuesday night over St. John Fisher.

The Blue Devils improved to 14-10 with their fifth straight victory by set scores of 26-28, 25-11, 25-17, 22-25, and 15-10. Coupled with a five-match win streak in September, the Blue Devils have won 10 of their last 12 matches.

In the victory Tuesday, the Blue Devils received strong play at the net from a combination of players. Freshman outside hitter Lindsey Olson (Portville) had a team-high 15 kills, junior middle blocker Kaitlin Erdmann (Randolph) added 12 kills, junior opposite Jenna Tatu (Tonawanda/Kenmore West) contributed 11 kills, and senior middle blocker Jen Reese (Barton/Tioga) had five kills and two blocks.

A pair of sophomores, setter Brittany Lis (Lancaster) and libero Sarah Zureck (Lancaster/St. Mary's of Lancaster), were the floor leaders. Lis collected 45 assists, 14 digs, and three service aces. Zureck had a team-high 29 digs.

The Blue Devils are idle until Oct. 17 when they face Geneva and also Washington & Jefferson on the latter's home floor.
