NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- Fredonia State finished its season with a 3-0 loss to Cortland in the SUNYAC Tournament semifinals at New Paltz.
The Blue Devils finished the season with a 24-12 mark following the 25-15, 27-25, 27-25 setback.
Junior middle blocker Kaitlin Erdmann (Randolph) was the team's top hitter with eight kills. She added two blocks. In addition, sophomore setter Brittany Lis (Lancaster) collected 25 assists and 13 digs, sophomore middle blocker Chelsea Senn (Hamburg/Frontier) added four kills and five blocks, and sophomore libero Sarah Zureck (Lancaster/St. Mary's of Lancaster) finished with two aces and 11 digs.
It was the final collegiate volleyball match for senior outside hitter Rebecca Zimmerman (Jamestown) and middle blocker Jen Reese (Barton/Tioga). Zimmerman also plays softball at Fredonia State.
